Description

You will own the stability, performance, and evolution of the PostgreSQL Community Edition infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and debug PostgreSQL internals to resolve complex issues and optimize system performance.
• Execute enhancement requests for the Community Edition to align with specific customer requirements.
• Lead critical incident troubleshooting, providing rapid solutions for high-impact production events.
• Conduct rigorous testing and benchmarking to validate system stability under load.
• Define database best practices and mentor colleagues on technical growth and code quality.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database support, engineering, or related technical fields.
• Deep understanding of PostgreSQL internals, architecture, and source code.
• Proficiency in C programming for code-level debugging and optimization.
• Hands-on experience with build and development tools: Bison, Flex, CVS, Autotools, and Meson.
• Proven ability to certify and standardize database infrastructure for performance and reliability.
• Graduate degree in any field.
