Description
You will administer and optimize the enterprise Power BI environment, ensuring security, governance, and performance. You own the platform configuration, user access management, and troubleshooting of data refreshes and capacity issues.
Responsibilities
- Configure and maintain Power BI Service, workspaces, gateways, and tenant settings for optimal performance and security.
- Implement and enforce governance policies, including naming conventions, workspace structures, and content lifecycle management.
- Monitor capacity usage, refresh schedules, and performance; proactively troubleshoot and resolve service reliability issues.
- Manage user access, roles, and permissions, ensuring adherence to data governance, compliance, and auditability standards.
- Collaborate with data engineers and BI developers to support report publishing, dataset management, and shared dataset optimization.
Required Skills
- 5–9 years of overall professional experience, with at least 5 years focused on Power BI administration in an enterprise environment.
- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI Service administration, including tenant settings, workspaces, and capacity management.
- Proven ability to manage user access, security roles (including row-level security), and governance policies within Power BI.
- Experience monitoring and troubleshooting dataset refreshes, performance issues, and service reliability.
- Ability to utilize Admin APIs to automate routine administrative tasks and monitoring activities.
- Experience with containerization tools such as Docker to support standardized environments or related services.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Any Graduate degree.
