Administer and optimize the Power BI platform, ensuring secure, performant, and governed analytics for the enterprise.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Power BI dashboards, reports, and KPIs to translate business requirements into scalable analytics solutions.
• Diagnose and resolve report refresh failures, performance bottlenecks, and data issues through root cause analysis and preventive improvements.
• Manage Power BI workspaces, access provisioning, license models, gateways, and capacity usage.
• Implement governance standards for naming, certification, and promotion while ensuring compliance with enterprise security and audit requirements.
• Collaborate with ETL and Data Engineering teams to support end-to-end data pipelines and drive self-service BI adoption.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of experience in data analytics, with deep expertise in Microsoft Power BI Service, Desktop, and Report Builder.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and relational database concepts for data modeling and query optimization.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI security, including Row Level Security (RLS) and workspace governance.
• Proven ability to manage Power BI capacity, gateways, and dataset refresh schedules.
• Experience collaborating with Data Engineering and ETL teams to understand and support data pipelines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) certification is highly recommended.

Preferred Skills

• Experience participating in Change Advisory Board (CAB) processes, release planning, and design reviews.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
