Description

You will manage and optimize the Power BI Service environment and related data architectures.

Responsibilities

• Administer Power BI Service, including tenant configuration, capacity management, and gateway server setup.
• Identify and resolve networking issues, connectivity gaps, and performance bottlenecks in queries.
• Maintain data integrity through ETL processes, data management, and architectural oversight.
• Apply software updates, patches, and configuration improvements to enhance application operating aspects.
• Document technical issues and communicate architectural recommendations to stakeholders.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Power BI Service administration and report development.
• Strong database foundational knowledge with experience in SQL Server, Oracle, and Snowflake.
• Hands-on experience with SQL querying and data management.
• Proven ability to manage ETL processes and understand various data types.
• Experience managing virtual machines and troubleshooting networking/connectivity issues.
• Working knowledge of Azure cloud environments and hosting.
• Experience with CI/CD processes to improve application operations.
• Ability to perform DBA-style tasks, such as identifying gaps and optimizing query speeds.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills for stakeholder dialogue.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to Microsoft Fabric.
• Tableau Administration experience.
