Description

There are two primary drivers for this role: (1) ERP/HRIS system selection & implementation and (2) MSP transition, including infrastructure and user support ownership. The BSA will be responsible for both priorities.

  • ERP/HRIS System Selection & Implementation:
    • Planning to replace the current system (Sage 100) by January 1, 2027
    • Seeking a BSA to support the organization in selecting a new ERP and HRIS system, partnering closely with leadership and the implementation team to guide the process end‑to‑end, including system selection, implementation, UAT, testing, training, and go‑live
  • MSP Transition:
    • Current MSP is managing infrastructure through year‑end; the CFO is evaluating a transition due to poor performance (2–3 day SLA response times)
    • In the interim, BSA will take on network/systems and end‑user support responsibilities while the organization determines a long‑term strategy. Never had  a dedicated IT person or internal IT department.

Must‑Haves:

  • 3–5+ years as Business Systems Analyst with ERP, HRIS, or financial systems
    • Proven experience leading end‑to‑end ERP system selection and implementation (not their first rodeo)
    • Expertise in requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management
    • Strong analytical, communication, and business partnership skills
  • Knowledge of APIs, SQL, data mapping, and system interfaces
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure)
  • Skilled in process modeling, system configuration, testing (UAT), and documentation

Nice-to-Have

  • Construction industry experience and Schedule of Values

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities (BSA):

  • Partner with CFO, President, and VP of Operations on ERP/HRIS system selection readiness and act as liaison between IT and business stakeholders
  • Lead system evaluation and requirements gathering for ERP & HRIS selection
  • Partner with CFO to guide decisions on System Integrator (SI) vs consulting support for implementation
  • Analyze and document business processes and requirements; serve as SME to identify gaps, improvements, and automation opportunities; collaborate with engineering, architecture, and vendors on design and integrations
  • Support planning for downstream resources (ERP Consultant, Project Manager, Data Engineer, and FTE backfills)
  • Configure, test, and support ERP, CRM, HRIS, and financial systems; lead UAT, system upgrades, deployments, and ongoing enhancements
  • Maintain system documentation (requirements, workflows, data mappings), troubleshoot issues, provide production support, and ensure security, compliance, and governance standards are met

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities (IT Network Support):

  • Monitor system performance and security, administer user access, and support network and infrastructure operations
  • Act as escalation point across desktop, server, network and application issues.

Current ERP: Sage 100 (on‑prem)

  • Doesn’t support CUI Enclave compliance is their bread and butter with DOD contracts.
  • Lacks cloud and reporting capabilities. Still on Excel and manual entry.

Target ERP: Vista View on Azure

  • Aligned with CMMC 2.0, & CUI compliance 😊
  • Strong construction module capabilities (e.g., scheduled values) and ease of management compared to SAP, WD & NetSuite (already evaluated)
  • Reporting with SQL / Crystal Reports and Azure Cloud/AI Capabilities

Immediate Projects:

  • Sage 100 ERP sunset — evaluate and implement new ERP by 2027
  • Explore AI capabilities, data mining, and SQL-based reporting
  • Explore new ticketing system if drop MSA
