Description

You will migrate Excel-based dashboards to optimized Power BI solutions and own the end-to-end development of interactive reporting tools.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Lead the migration of existing Excel-based dashboards into optimized, interactive Power BI solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and identify pain points in current Excel reporting.
• Integrate data sources into Power BI while ensuring data integrity and efficient loading.
• Validate data accuracy and calculation integrity by testing against source Excel files.
• Document data models, DAX calculations, and dashboard logic for long-term maintainability.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a Power BI Developer or in a similar data visualization role.
• Expert proficiency in Power BI Desktop.
• Advanced DAX formula writing and optimization.
• Strong Power Query and M language skills for complex data transformations.
• Deep understanding of data modeling principles, including star and snowflake schemas.
• Proven experience migrating reports and dashboards from Excel to Power BI.
• Strong grasp of data visualization best practices and principles.
• Ability to manage project timelines independently as a freelance consultant.
