Power BI Developer

You will design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and data models to provide actionable business insights.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain complex data models using DAX and Power Query.
• Design and publish interactive reports and dashboards in Power BI Desktop and Service.
• Connect Power BI to diverse data sources including databases, APIs, and flat files.
• Optimize dashboard performance and implement data visualization best practices.
• Develop technical documentation following agency policies, CJIS security guidance, and state standards.
• Troubleshoot existing Power BI solutions and provide support to end-users and IT teams.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data modeling and reporting.
• Proficiency in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
• Advanced DAX proficiency for complex calculations and data manipulation.
• Strong SQL skills for querying and extracting data from relational databases.
• Experience embedding Power BI within custom applications.
• Proven ability in data visualization and communicating insights clearly.
• Hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 Apps, SharePoint, and the Power Platform.
• Ability to manage technical documentation and adhere to change management processes.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory or SSIS.
• Knowledge of Azure services related to data analytics and reporting.
• Familiarity with .NET, C#, and IBM SPSS.
