Role Overview:

This role focuses on developing and optimizing Power BI solutions, including building scalable semantic models, creating advanced DAX calculations, and designing efficient star schemas. The position requires expertise in data extraction, transformation, and cleaning, along with managing Power BI workspaces and ensuring fast report performance. The ideal candidate will also possess strong SQL skills and an understanding of ETL processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write formulas for custom measures, calculated columns, and complex data aggregations.
• Query databases directly, join tables, and optimize data extraction routines.
• Build efficient star schemas and define accurate table relationships for fast report performance.
• Extract, transform, and clean raw data from different sources before it enters the model.
• Manage Power BI workspaces, configure scheduled data refreshes, deploy apps, and set up row-level security (RLS).
• Build scalable semantic models, star schemas, and relationships using Power BI.
• Create advanced DAX calculations and optimized Power Query transformations.
• Tune large data models, gateways, and reports so they load fast.
• Translate complex business requirements into clear technical specifications.
• Audit existing reports and optimize slow-performing data flows or dashboards.

Required Skills:

• Extensive experience with Power BI, including building executive dashboards.
• Expertise in DAX calculations and Power Query transformations.
• Strong knowledge in Microsoft Databricks & Cloud Databases.
• Expert level in SQL and relational database design.
• Complete understanding of ETL Process.
• Experience in offshore – onshore working model.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications:

• 6-8 years of relevant experience
