Description

Lead the configuration, implementation, and administration of the Microsoft Power BI platform to advance self-service analytics in an enterprise environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer the Power BI platform and On-Premises Gateway, including installation, upgrades, and capacity planning.
• Guide developers in using DAX and Power BI to establish best practices for dashboard layout, dataset access, security, and performance tuning.
• Automate the promotion and deployment of dashboards, datasets, and refreshes using PowerShell and CA Workload.
• Collaborate with business partners to migrate existing workspaces into an organized catalog of information areas.
• Troubleshoot complex data problems and coordinate with Microsoft Premium Support to resolve performance issues.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience deploying and managing Power BI Premium in enterprise-sized organizations.
• Expertise in managing users, Apps, Workspaces, and Content Packs.
• Deep knowledge of Power BI Premium Capacity Metrics.
• Proven experience with On-Premises Data Gateway installation, configuration, and upgrades.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases and data warehouses such as Oracle and SQL Server.
• Strong command of DAX for dashboard and dataset development.
• Experience with PowerShell and cmd scripting for automation tasks.
• Solid understanding of Power BI security, including access control, row-level security, and role-based sharing.
