Description

You will lead the development of Power BI solutions and establish architectural best practices for the organization's data analytics framework.

Responsibilities

• Design and document Power BI architecture, including semantic models, workspace management, and gateway configurations.
• Establish architectural standards, naming conventions, permissions policies, and workspace decommissioning strategies.
• Provide advanced technical support and mentor internal developers through hands-on training and practical exercises.
• Optimize legacy solutions, DAX calculations, and data models to improve performance.
• Develop reusable templates and implement automated testing and validation frameworks.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI (3 years with a Master's or Bachelor's in Data/Computer Science; 4 years with an Associate degree).
• Expertise in Power BI semantic model development and DAX programming/optimization.
• Proficiency in dimensional modeling and Power BI performance tuning.
• Experience with Power BI paginated report development.
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, and relational databases using SQL.
• Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate certification.
• Ability to translate business needs into data-driven solutions.
• Bachelor's or Master's in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience on at least two Power BI engagements lasting 6+ months or a background as a Power BI Consultant.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards in BI reporting and enterprise reporting in government or transportation domains.
