Description

You will design, simulate, and validate power electronics systems and motor drives, owning the full lifecycle from hardware design to validation.

Responsibilities

• Design control algorithms for induction and IPM motors.
• Develop and research power electronics circuits using HIL platforms.
• Execute MIL and HIL simulations to validate hardware and software performance.
• Perform thermal calculations and characterization for power structures and motor drives.
• Manage hardware design, prototyping, and design validation processes.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in power electronics design, specifically with active front ends and inverters.
• Deep expertise in Matlab and Simulink environments for electro-mechanical systems.
• Hands-on experience with MIL and HIL simulation methodologies.
• Proficiency with real-time simulation hardware, such as Opal-RT.
• Experience using simulation tools like SPICE or Saber.
• Strong understanding of induction motor characteristics and control methods.
• Practical experience in lab environments using high voltages, oscilloscopes, and standard lab tools.
• Knowledge of converters, inverters, and switching devices.

Preferred Skills

• Domain knowledge of HVAC and chiller systems.
