Description

You will design and validate power electronics systems, including custom magnetics and isolated power supplies.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design custom magnetics such as inductors, chokes, and transformers.
• Develop AC-to-DC and DC-to-AC conversion and inversion circuits.
• Create circuit schematics for Printed Wiring Boards (PWB) and assemblies (PWA) using Altium.
• Verify hardware prototype operation and performance in a lab environment.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in power electronics and converter design.
• Subject matter expertise in op-amps, comparators, passive and active filters, and BJTs/FETs.
• Proficiency with Altium for PWB and PWA creation.
• Expertise in digital communication protocols including CAN, I²C, SPI, ARINC-429, and ARINC-664/AFDX.
• Knowledge of motor control theory and power/energy conservation principles.
• Familiarity with MIL-STD-461/464, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-810, and DO-160.
• Experience designing hardware per RTCA guidance for DAL certification objectives (DO-254).
