Description

You will develop and maintain database applications to automate core business processes, including HR onboarding, payroll, and advertising layouts. You own the full lifecycle of these applications, from UI design to backend logic and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Build and extend UI and data layer classes using PFC library functions and object-oriented methodology.
• Design and develop windows, user objects, data windows, and new GUI pages to meet specific business requirements.
• Write and modify back-end PL/SQL procedures, Sybase packages, and stored procedures to implement business logic and reporting.
• Tune and monitor SQL and PL/SQL performance to ensure application efficiency.
• Coordinate with the QA department to troubleshoot design anomalies and conduct system testing in duplicate production environments.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience as a PowerBuilder Developer.
• Proficiency with PowerBuilder v9.0.
• Strong SQL development skills, including writing and optimizing PL/SQL procedures.
• Hands-on experience with Sybase ASE and DB2 databases.
• Ability to work within a UNIX environment.
• Experience with PFC and SFC frameworks.
