Description

Stabilize and optimize a critical PowerBuilder 2022 application used for prior authorization processes.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Resolve application stability issues, specifically addressing crashes during normal requests and rule publishing.
• Optimize database connection management to eliminate the majority of current system failures.
• Refactor overly complex programming logic into simplified, efficient loops.
• Analyze the existing rule set of 2000+ entries to identify necessary rules and archive redundant ones.
• Execute bug fixes, collaborate with QA for validation, and deploy updates to the business.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software development.
• Hands-on development with PowerBuilder 2022.
• Strong experience with SQL Server database management and connectivity.
• Proven track record of performance tuning and bug fixing within PowerBuilder environments.
• Ability to work autonomously to diagnose and resolve deep-seated technical issues.
• Experience managing and optimizing database connection logic.
• Degree in any field of study.
