Description

Maintain and enhance a mission-critical client-server PowerBuilder application for construction project data.

Responsibilities

• Code and test data windows to replace legacy spreadsheet formats.
• Develop and test bug fixes and functional system enhancements.
• Design SharePoint and web-based solutions to support preconstruction and scoping business processes.
• Manage the full development life cycle, including requirements gathering, design, unit testing, and QA.
• Translate complex business processes for IT users and technical applications for business users.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a PowerBuilder developer using PB10 or more recent versions.
• Strong SQL skills; experience with Sybase is preferred, but other database platforms are acceptable.
• Experience working with a custom base-class.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote software development environment.
• Proven written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Development experience in C# or Java.
• Experience coding stored procedures and triggers.
• Experience developing within a Visual Studio environment.
