Description

You will lead the design and development of next-generation AI-driven solutions for insurance carrier integration.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Architect and oversee scalable, secure carrier API integrations using REST, SOAP, EDI, ACORD, and proprietary systems.
• Develop AI/ML pipelines to extract, normalize, and map submission and policy data.
• Embed LLMs and vector search into underwriting workflows, collaborating closely with Data Science teams.
• Serve as a hands-on technical leader, setting engineering best practices and mentoring senior engineers.
• Drive performance and scalability improvements across integration and AI pipelines on AWS infrastructure.

Required Skills

• 10+ years in software engineering, with 5+ years in a senior or principal role.
• Strong background in insurance carrier integrations or InsurTech systems.
• Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript; Python experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs, event-driven systems, and microservices.
• Familiarity with AI/ML pipelines, LLMs, and vector databases.
• Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, Bedrock, Step Functions, API Gateway).
