Description

You will lead platform software architecture and design decisions for the CAKE (Cloud Automation K8s Engineering) platform.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive technical direction for distributed systems, Kubernetes engine design, and cloud architecture.
• Review and guide code contributions in Python, Go, and TypeScript/JavaScript to ensure quality and scalability.
• Mentor engineering teams and ensure the reliability and scalability of the CAKE platform.
• Architect authentication systems, backplane data structures, and microservice designs.
• Apply deep expertise in Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure to solve complex engineering challenges.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software architecture and distributed systems.
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes engine design and cloud architecture principles.
• Proficiency in reading, reviewing, and guiding code in Python and Go.
• Proficiency in reading, reviewing, and guiding code in TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Strong understanding of microservice design patterns and authentication systems.
• Experience with backplane data architecture.

Preferred Skills

• Demonstrated ability to mentor senior engineers and lead technical strategy.
