Description

You will architect and design automation frameworks for desktop applications.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve in-house automation frameworks for desktop environments.
• Develop automation strategies covering desktop, API, and database layers within CI/CD.
• Analyze manual testing processes to identify opportunities for automation.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor the automation team on complex design challenges.
• Create detailed estimates, solution designs, and test automation strategies for new projects.

Required Skills

• 10+ years designing, building, and maintaining test automation frameworks for desktop applications (.NET, Windows).
• Expertise in framework architecture and design patterns (component-based, modular, data-driven).
• Strong understanding of desktop UI automation tools: WinAppDriver, Pywinauto, FlaUI, TestStack, or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Python, .NET, C#, Java, or Bash for building automation utilities.
• Experience developing automation for APIs, packaged, and custom desktop applications.
• 7+ years collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders across engineering and QA.
• Strong SQL skills for querying relational databases to support automation.
• Hands-on experience integrating desktop test automation into CI/CD pipelines.
• Comfortable working in both Windows and Linux environments.
