Description

You will lead the design and optimization of cloud networking architectures within AWS and hybrid environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement AWS networking solutions including VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, and PrivateLink.
• Architect hybrid and multi-cloud connectivity integrating on-premises infrastructure.
• Lead network automation initiatives using Terraform, CloudFormation, Python, or Ansible.
• Ensure network security through zero-trust principles, encryption, and security group management.
• Troubleshoot complex networking issues using CloudWatch, VPC Flow Logs, ELK, or Prometheus.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with DevOps and Security teams on scalable architectures.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in network engineering with a focus on cloud networking.
• Deep expertise in AWS services: VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, PrivateLink, ALB/NLB, Route 53, and Global Accelerator.
• Strong knowledge of routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, Python, or Ansible.
• Experience with hybrid connectivity such as MPLS, SD-WAN, and cloud interconnects.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring tools like AWS CloudWatch, Wireshark, NetFlow, and ThousandEyes.
• Strong understanding of network security principles, firewalls, VPNs, and IPS/IDS.

Preferred Skills

• AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty certification.
• Experience with multi-cloud networking (Azure, GCP) and SDN architectures.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes networking, CNI plugins, Istio, or service mesh.
• Experience with DDoS mitigation and security tools such as AWS Shield and WAF.
