Description

You will design and build high-performance backend systems while guiding technical direction for the engineering team.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop clean, stable, and performant backend code using Java 21+ and Spring Boot 3+.
• Design future-proof architectures and solid technical solutions for complex problems.
• Implement identity and access management solutions using OpenID Connect and Keycloak.
• Guide other engineers and share technical knowledge to elevate team standards.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 5 years as a backend engineer.
• Strong proficiency in Java 21+ and Spring Boot 3+.
• Deep expertise in SQL and relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other cloud providers.
• Working knowledge of RESTful services.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and GitHub Actions.
• Automated testing experience with Selenium or Selenium IDE.
• Knowledge of medical, security, and privacy regulations or the diabetes/health industry.
