Description

You will design and deliver embedded and desktop software for complex medical instruments meeting regulatory standards. You will own the release pipeline, coordinate instrument activities, and drive technical tradeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement C# .NET services to coordinate medical instrument activities, including scheduling, inventory management, and error recovery.
• Collaborate with the chief architect on design tradeoffs to determine technical solutions and create detailed design documents.
• Participate in software project risk analysis, hazard analysis, and Change Control Boards.
• Drive software requirements and integrate them with system requirements.
• Apply software engineering best practices such as unit testing, integration testing, static analysis, and code reviews.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience developing software for complex instruments or devices involving motion control and fluidics.
• Proficiency in C#, Java, and either C/C++.
• Experience with object-oriented design and software development lifecycles such as Agile or Spiral.
• Demonstrated experience designing software for hardware instruments with motion control interfaces.
• Knowledge of medical device regulatory standards including 21 CFR Part 820, IEC 62304, and ISO 13485.
• Experience with revision control systems such as Git.
• Ability to conduct system risk and hazard analysis.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SOA, gRPC, Entity Framework, Blazor, or ASP .NET.
• Knowledge of MS Project and software time/cost estimation.
