Roles and Responsibilities:

• Vision & Strategy: Define the multi-year technical roadmap for AI/ML initiatives, aligning directly with Flipkart's business and revenue objectives
• Architectural Leadership: Architect highly scalable, state-of-the-art ML ecosystems and pioneer breakthrough methodologies, including GenAI-driven approaches
• Executive Influence: Serve as a trusted advisor to VP and C-level leadership by distilling complex AI architectures into clear ROI and business value
• Systemic Problem Solving: Drive end-to-end development of advanced data science solutions across recommendation systems and NLP use cases that impact the broader e-commerce ecosystem
• Industry Eminence: Lead breakthrough research efforts, contribute to patents, and represent Flipkart through keynote presentations and strategic university partnerships
• Leadership & Collaboration: Influence broad cross-functional teams without direct authority, setting technical direction and raising engineering and research standards

Skills Required:

• 15+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or AI research and development
• Deep expertise in NLP and Recommendation Systems at scale
• Strong experience with large-scale data (structured, unstructured, image, and audio)
• Proven track record of building and deploying advanced ML/AI models in production
• Expertise in deep learning frameworks and modern GenAI architectures
• Strong background in system design for scalable ML ecosystems
• Demonstrated experience influencing senior leadership and driving AI strategy
• Track record of research contributions (publications, patents, or industry recognition)
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Education: Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related field
