Description

Lead end-to-end forecasting model development for Load, Solar, and Wind from conception through production deployment.

Responsibilities

• Build automated retraining and evaluation frameworks with monitoring dashboards for production models.
• Develop data connectors for weather APIs and data warehouse systems to support real-time and batch forecasting.
• Design scalable pipelines for model deployment, versioning, and maintenance.
• Create interactive dashboards using Streamlit and present insights to stakeholders.
• Integrate external data sources into forecasting pipelines with proper data engineering standards.

Required Skills

• Advanced proficiency in Python with extensive experience in pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, and statsmodels.
• Proven track record developing and deploying production forecasting models including ARIMA, SARIMAX, and gradient boosting methods.
• Experience consuming and integrating weather APIs and external data sources.
• Proficiency with SQL databases and experience with large-scale data queries and optimization.
• Experience building interactive dashboards using Streamlit, Plotly, or similar frameworks.
• Working knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, SageMaker) and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
• 5+ years of experience in data science and production deployment.
• Proficiency with Git for automated data pipelines and version control.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Jira and Confluence for Agile project management.
• Domain expertise in energy markets and renewable generation forecasting.
