Description

You architect, implement, and support highly available, secure, and scalable database platforms across Government Cloud and hybrid environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute database migrations, including on-premises to cloud transformations and SQL Server to PostgreSQL conversions.
• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain relational and non-relational database technologies ensuring security compliance.
• Design and manage HA/DR solutions using replication, clustering, failover, and backup/recovery for mission-critical workloads.
• Drive automation by building database automation and CI/CD workflows using Ansible and GitHub Actions.
• Partner with development and DevOps teams to provide architectural guidance and troubleshoot performance issues.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of enterprise database administration experience.
• Deep expertise with SQL Server and PostgreSQL in enterprise environments.
• Demonstrated experience supporting HA/DR architectures across cloud and hybrid deployments.
• Proven success migrating databases from on-premises to cloud platforms.
• Hands-on experience converting SQL Server workloads to PostgreSQL.
• Strong knowledge of Azure cloud database services and security models.
• Advanced experience with automation, including Ansible, IaC Concepts, and CI/CD Pipelines.
• Strong understanding of database security, governance, and performance tuning.
