Principal Database Administrator

You own the administration and performance of critical Oracle database systems.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot database performance on production systems during major outages.
• Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle database software (12c, 19c, or later).
• Plan and execute database migrations and upgrades minimizing downtime.
• Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies using RMAN.
• Perform audits to ensure adherence to organizational security policies.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA on critical production databases.
• Expertise in Oracle Database Administration, including RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and Data Guard.
• Strong proficiency in Performance Tuning.
• Experience with Database Security principles.
• Working knowledge of AWS and Azure environments.
• Familiarity with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
• Experience troubleshooting connectivity, performance, and data corruption.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of partitioning and advanced indexing strategies.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash and Python for automation.
• Experience with Oracle Golden Gate (OGG).
