Description

Lead the design and implementation of database solutions to solve complex business problems.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and modify application-specific database modules using SQL, PL/SQL, Python, or Shell.
• Debug critical database issues, focusing specifically on SQL performance tuning.
• Own the development and deployment of database changes and releases across production and non-production environments.
• Define engineering best practices and mentor teams in writing clean code using automated unit tests and Test-Driven Development.
• Research and prototype new technologies to improve client experience and application stability.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience as a Database Developer or DBA in an agile environment.
• 7+ years of experience as an Oracle Developer or DBA.
• Expert-level PL/SQL and SQL development skills.
• Deep expertise in Oracle database internals and features.
• Proficiency in Python and Shell programming.
• Extensive experience in database performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with Linux operating systems, specifically RedHat.
• Experience with DevOps and automation tools including Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Ansible, and Artifactory.
• Knowledge of public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Preferred Skills

• Oracle Virtual Private Database (VPD) and Oracle Partitioning expertise.
• Experience with RDS Oracle and RDS PostgreSQL.
• Java and Hibernate development experience.
