Description

Build and optimize complex application logic, performance engines, and compliance systems directly within Oracle Exadata using Smart Scan and collection techniques.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Develop core business logic and performance engines using Oracle SQL and PL/SQL on Exadata infrastructure.
• Optimize database performance by leveraging Smart Scan, Storage Indexes, Hybrid Columnar Compression, partitioning, and parallel query execution.
• Diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks across SQL, PL/SQL, storage, and infrastructure layers in mission-critical environments.
• Implement ATDD practices and write automated tests for database and application code.
• Collaborate within Agile teams using CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Required Skills

• 15+ years of professional experience in database application development.
• Deep expertise in Oracle Exadata engineering and architecture.
• Strong hands-on skills with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development.
• Proven experience with Oracle database administration concepts.
• Expertise in diagnosing and tuning database performance bottlenecks.
• Experience with ATDD and writing automated tests for database code.
• Familiarity with Agile software delivery, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.

Preferred Skills

• Experience building performance or compliance engines within the database.
