You will design and implement an application-centric observability framework to ensure the performance, reliability, and scalability of business-critical applications.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement an end-to-end observability framework focusing on application-specific metrics and golden signals.
• Leverage Datadog to instrument application-level monitoring and integrate SLI/SLO blueprints for latency, traffic, errors, and saturation.
• Develop centralized dashboards with drill-down capabilities to provide real-time visibility into application health.
• Map critical business journeys to ensure observability systems capture relevant metrics at every stage of the user experience.
• Define and implement alerting mechanisms based on SLI/SLO thresholds to trigger appropriate escalations.

Required Skills

• 15+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps or SRE roles.
• Deep expertise in Datadog for metrics collection, alerting, and dashboard creation.
• Proven experience implementing SLI/SLO frameworks to track availability and reliability.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash for automation and tool integration.
• Expertise in root cause analysis and system performance optimization.
• Practical experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS.
• Strong understanding of monitoring health across containers, services, and microservices architectures.

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on experience with cloud-native applications running on AWS.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and observability integration.
