Principal Electrical Engineer

You will lead the electrical design and development of complex, high-volume consumer electronics from concept to mass production.

Responsibilities

• Develop schematics and BOMs that meet specific design requirements.
• Analyze designs using simulation tools and calculations to verify conformance.
• Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, and hardware verification teams to optimize system-level performance.
• Design, build, and test rapid prototypes to evaluate new technologies.
• Conduct debug investigations, failure analysis, and resolution activities.
• Manage project documentation including specifications, PCB layouts, and schedules.
• Work with suppliers and contractors to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience designing and shipping high-volume consumer electronics.
• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience in analog/digital electronics, including RF, audio, video, power, or sensors.
• Proficiency in high-speed digital design, signal integrity, layout, and power distribution.
• Experience with ARM or x86 architectures.
• Knowledge of high-speed serial busses such as PCIe, DP, USB4, Thunderbolt, or MIPI.
• Experience with high-speed parallel busses like DDR4/5 memory.
• Strong debugging skills and understanding of fundamental circuit design.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly in writing and verbally.
