Description

Lead embedded system development on QNX and drive strategic Linux migration efforts.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement real-time software components for critical applications.
• Define migration strategies and re-architect systems for moving from QNX to Linux.
• Architect scalable, modular, and maintainable embedded software solutions.
• Troubleshoot complex system-level issues on QNX and Linux platforms.
• Mentor junior engineers on embedded development best practices.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in embedded software development.
• Deep expertise in QNX and Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS).
• Proven track record of migrating embedded systems from QNX to Linux.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming.
• Advanced understanding of multi-threading, IPC, and performance optimization.
• Hands-on experience with UART, SPI, and I2C hardware interfaces.
• Experience with debugging tools such as GDB and trace analyzers.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Yocto Project and building custom Linux distributions.
• Familiarity with safety-critical standards such as ISO 26262, DO-178C, or IEC 61508.
