Description

You will own the development of embedded software for Toyota products.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Define requirements with stakeholders and design implementation of new features with minimal oversight.
• Investigate processor and microcontroller cyber security controls, developing Proof-of-Concepts and supplier guidance.
• Collaborate with CI/CD teams to extend the build and release pipeline and customize it for new projects.
• Define testing strategies with test teams and assist in developing automated tests.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers on software development best practices and conduct root cause analysis of defects.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in embedded systems software development, covering hardware and software.
• Expertise in embedded programming languages, specifically C and C++.
• Familiarity with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and embedded Linux system development.
• Experience with BSP integration and customization using tools like Yocto.
• Knowledge of communication protocols including I2C, SPI, and UART.
• Proficiency with the Linux command line interface.
• Experience developing in compliance with safety standards such as MISRA, SEI CERT, and AUTOSAR.
• Knowledge of security frameworks like ISO/SAE 21434, NIST, and OWASP.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
