Roles and Responsibilities:

• Set technical direction and own architecture for Kily's backend and data platform across multiple teams.
• Design and build scalable, resilient APIs and microservices using Python and FastAPI.
• Define PostgreSQL database architecture, data models, and storage strategy for high-throughput, low-latency workloads.
• Architect and implement large-scale data pipelines and data processing systems that support AI-powered decisioning.
• Drive cross-team platform decisions for scalability, resilience, and security; ensure reliable integrations between internal and external systems.

Skills Required:

• 7-11 years of backend engineering experience building and operating large-scale production systems.
• Distributed systems architecture and system design for large-scale backend platforms.
• Software architecture and backend engineering leadership as a senior individual contributor.
• Python backend development with FastAPI and REST API development at scale.
• PostgreSQL database design and data modeling for high-scale systems.
• Proven track record of senior individual-contributor technical leadership and architecture ownership.

Good to Have:

• Experience building GenAI/LLM-based applications or agent-driven systems.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field
