Description

You will own the mainframe engineering lifecycle, focusing on performance tuning, automation, and high-availability implementations.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Perform performance tuning and incident management for mainframe environments.
• Manage and maintain core components including JCL, REXX, and IBM System Automation.
• Implement high-availability and disaster recovery solutions.
• Oversee DB2 for z/OS data sharing and performance optimization.
• Utilize IBM MQ for shared queues and coupling facility management.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in mainframe engineering.
• Expertise in IBM z/OS, specifically JES2, RACF, and SMP/E.
• Proficiency with DB2 for z/OS, including data sharing and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with JCL and REXX scripting.
• Knowledge of mainframe storage concepts (DASD, VTS, DFSMS).
• Experience with IBM MQ for z/OS.
• Familiarity with IBM System Automation and BMC Control-M.
