Description

You will own the technical design and implementation of customer-facing application web services.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy, and manage Kafka-based data pipelines and real-time streaming applications.
• Design system architecture, create UML diagrams, and map requirements to technical modules.
• Develop microservices using Java and Spring Boot, focusing on fault tolerance and low response times.
• Automate build and deployment processes using Git, GitHub Actions, and Maven for CI/CD.
• Debug complex issues involving multi-threading, concurrency, and production support incidents.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of professional software development experience.
• Expert proficiency in Java and Spring Boot for microservices development.
• Deep experience with distributed systems, specifically Kafka internals, producers/consumers, and Kafka Connect.
• Hands-on experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes.
• Proficiency with relational (PostgreSQL) and in-memory caching technologies (Redis).
• Strong command of version control workflows using Git, including branching and merging.
• Experience developing and deploying applications via CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with building Java applications using Maven and JUnit.

Preferred Skills

• Demonstrated ability to provide production support and debug live system issues.
