Description

You will lead the development, integration, and optimization of embedded systems on QNX platforms while driving strategic Linux migration efforts.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of real-time software components for critical applications.
• Assess the feasibility of migrating QNX-based systems to Linux, defining migration strategies and system architecture re-designs.
• Architect scalable, modular, and maintainable embedded software solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers on embedded development best practices and migration processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex system-level issues on QNX and Linux platforms.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in embedded software development.
• Deep expertise in QNX and Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS).
• Proven track record of migrating embedded systems from QNX to Linux.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming for embedded systems.
• Advanced understanding of multi-threading, inter-process communication (IPC), and performance optimization.
• Hands-on experience with hardware interfaces including UART, SPI, and I2C.
• Experience using debugging tools such as GDB and trace analyzers.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Yocto Project and building custom Linux distributions.
• Knowledge of ARM, x86, or custom SoC hardware platforms.
• Familiarity with safety-critical standards such as ISO 26262, DO-178C, or IEC 61508.
