Description

You own the operational health and performance of MongoDB environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain MongoDB clusters and sharded environments.
• Implement High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions, alongside backups and recovery strategies.
• Optimize queries, indexes, and overall database performance.
• Automate provisioning, monitoring, and alerting processes.
• Ensure compliance (SOX, PCI, HIPAA) and implement Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and security.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of MongoDB DBA or Engineering experience.
• Expertise in MongoDB architecture, including replication, sharding, and performance tuning.
• Strong proficiency in database queries, aggregation, and indexing.
• Experience with Linux/Unix and Shell scripting.
• Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and Jenkins.
• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proficiency with monitoring tools, specifically MongoDB Atlas, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Proven ability to lead incident management and define long-term solutions.
