Description

Lead architecture and hands-on development for high-scale, data-intensive IoT platforms.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable microservices, front-end, and back-end solutions for connected devices.
• Refactor monolithic systems into distributed architectures using Node.js and AWS.
• Mentor engineering teams and drive technical direction for complex software challenges.
• Collaborate with product and leadership to scope features and align on strategic initiatives.
• Champion code quality, unit testing, and maintainable technical documentation.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of hands-on software development and application design experience.
• Deep expertise in JavaScript, Node.js, HTML, and CSS.
• Strong experience designing and operating high-scale, data-intensive systems.
• Proficiency with AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC) and SQL databases.
• Experience with containerized deployments (Docker) and Kubernetes.
• Proven track record leading engineering initiatives or mentoring teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with NoSQL databases and large-scale data pipelines.
• Background in IoT or connected-device platforms.
