Description

You will serve as a technical advisor to leadership, designing engineering solutions for complex business and technical needs across the enterprise.

Responsibilities

• Advise leadership on the development of applications, networks, information security, databases, and operating systems.
• Lead the strategy and resolution of unique, large-scale technical challenges requiring advanced analytical thinking.
• Translate strategic business objectives and technological opportunities into actionable engineering solutions.
• Manage high-impact production incidents, providing immediate troubleshooting and written or spoken incident analysis.
• Direct the implementation of significant business solutions by providing technical vision and expertise.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated through work, training, or education.
• Deep understanding of the network stack, operating system stack, and middleware for production troubleshooting.
• 7 years of experience with alarm scripting and alerting tools.
• Hands-on experience using Java Flight Recorder.
• Proven ability to set up distributed tracing across internet topologies to pinpoint problem sources.
• Experience performing full health checks and root cause analysis in complex environments.
• Ability to engage dynamically with all levels of management and professional staff.

Preferred Skills

• Experience leading proof of concepts, prototyping, and critical project deliverables.
• Ability to write and present white papers or speak at industry conferences.
• Experience mentoring teams through training, documentation, and skill-set building.
