Description

You will act as a technical authority for AIX/UNIX platforms while owning infrastructure automation and lifecycle management.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain automation solutions using Ruby and Chef cookbooks to manage AIX/UNIX platform standards.
• Build scalable configuration management and mass deployment frameworks to support platform stability.
• Manage source code repositories and CI/CD pipelines using Git, GitHub, and GitHub Actions in Agile environments.
• Define and enforce AIX platform standards, including OS baselines, firmware requirements, and security hardening.
• Lead OS patching, kernel updates, and lifecycle management while ensuring compliance with SOX, HIPAA, and PCI.

Required Skills

• 14+ years of experience in AIX/UNIX administration and DevOps engineering.
• Deep hands-on expertise with IBM AIX, LPAR/VIOS, PowerVM, NIM, JFS2, GPFS, LVM, and AIX networking.
• Strong proficiency in infrastructure automation using Chef and Ruby.
• Proven experience managing large-scale AIX enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Git-based version control.
• Experience enforcing security compliance frameworks and enterprise audit processes.
• Demonstrated leadership in engineering design and cross-functional collaboration.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with DevOps and IT Infrastructure principles.
