Description

Lead the design and optimization of data-intensive applications, APIs, and backend services within a GCP environment.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable data pipelines using BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage.
• Implement LLM-powered solutions, machine learning pipelines, and real-time data processing frameworks.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and security of cloud-based data platforms.
• Drive data architecture decisions and engineering best practices through cross-functional collaboration.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead technical discussions to maintain engineering excellence.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, backend services, or large-scale data systems.
• Deep expertise in GCP technologies including BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, IAM, and Kubernetes.
• Strong programming proficiency in Python, SQL, and JavaScript.
• Experience with distributed computing and data processing frameworks such as Apache Beam or Spark.
• Experience with workflow orchestration using Cloud Composer or Airflow.
• Proven ability to build scalable, cloud-native solutions for complex technical challenges.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with LLMs, AI/ML model deployment, and advanced analytics in cloud environments.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).
