Description

You will architect and maintain large enterprise multi-cloud hybrid network stacks, owning DNS, BGP, and routing protocols across Azure and AWS.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Design and troubleshoot complex network topologies using BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VRRP, and HSRP across diverse platforms like Arista, Aruba, and Palo Alto.
• Implement high availability and traffic distribution strategies including ECMP, GSLB, and active/active failover architectures.
• Automate network configuration and infrastructure provisioning using Python, Bash, Ansible, Terraform, and GitOps workflows with GitHub Actions.
• Analyze network performance and security issues using Wireshark packet captures and browser HAR files, ensuring deep understanding of TLS and HTTP.
• Lead technical initiatives as a self-directed owner, managing borrowed resources and translating ambiguous requirements into detailed execution plans.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience supporting large enterprise multi-cloud hybrid network stacks.
• Deep proficiency in DNS architecture, resolution, troubleshooting, and global traffic management.
• Expertise in BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and route influencing techniques (local preference, MED, AS path prepend, route maps).
• Strong knowledge of Azure VWAN, AWS Transit Gateway, Virtual Network Gateways, VPNs, and SD-WAN concepts.
• Proficiency with Python, Bash, Ansible, Terraform, and Linux command line administration.
• Experience with Kubernetes networking (EKS, AKS, native K8s, OCP) and containerized environments.
• Familiarity with secrets management in HashiCorp Vault, Azure KeyVault, or AWS Secrets Manager.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with WAN circuit technologies including DWDM, MPLS, and Point-to-Point connections.
• Knowledge of ITSM and Agile project management methodologies.
• Ability to present technical topics to non-technical audiences and serve as secondary on-call.
