Description

Engineer, deploy, and support the global network core and site infrastructure for a large financial services client.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement datacenter and colocation core network routing and switching with a focus on stability and automation.
• Engineer and operate VXLAN overlay and underlay network environments across multiple platforms.
• Support Enterprise Infrastructure teams by engineering and implementing new or upgrading existing network hardware.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues and provide technical assistance during on-call periods.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in network engineering, troubleshooting, and supporting large-scale enterprise infrastructure.
• Expert knowledge configuring and supporting HPE and Cisco networking platforms.
• Deep experience with VXLAN overlay and underlay configuration and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, VRF, and VPNs.
• Experience with switched protocols such as PVST, RPVST, and HSRP/VRRP.
• Familiarity with infrastructure automation using scripting languages (bash/python/ansible) and interacting with REST APIs.
• Knowledge of monitoring protocols (SNMP, Syslog, Telemetry) and network observability systems.
• Experience documenting complex topologies using Visio.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
