Description

Design and maintain scalable automation frameworks for microservices and backend APIs in a retail banking environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Build automation frameworks from scratch using Java.
• Lead API testing for microservices using REST Assured, Postman, or Newman.
• Validate end-to-end retail banking customer journeys, including transaction flows and ledger balances.
• Debug backend issues via Linux commands and log analysis.
• Integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Maven, or Gradle.

Required Skills

• 9+ years in QA Automation or SDET roles.
• Strong Core Java programming proficiency.
• Expertise in API automation (REST Assured, Postman, Newman, or Karate).
• Experience in Retail Banking, Payments, Cards, or FinTech domains.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and backend verification (schema validation, service contracts).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) and Git.
• Comfortable with Linux execution and log analysis.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with the Karate API testing framework.
• Knowledge of API security validation (OAuth2, JWT, tokens).
• Exposure to Docker or Kubernetes.
