You will architect and develop scalable payment solutions and distributed systems for a global payment platform.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Architect high-performance payment processing microservices using Scala.
• Lead technical initiatives regarding provider integrations and system optimizations.
• Design solutions for international payment methods, regulatory requirements, and public APIs.
• Drive technical decisions for mission-critical payment infrastructure components.
• Mentor engineering teams on distributed systems and scalable architecture patterns.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in backend development.
• Proven track record of building large-scale distributed systems.
• Deep knowledge of system design principles and concurrency patterns.
• Experience with distributed architecture and microservices.
• Ability to debug complex production issues.
• Strong communication skills for collaborating across multiple teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Scala.
• Prior fintech or payments industry experience.
