Description

You will own the development of microservices and web applications powering data collection and matching processes for the online retail suite, while guiding engineering teams on design principles.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Develop the next-generation Consolidated Matching platform to handle over 200 million transactions daily.
• Implement Domain Driven Design, Event Sourcing, and CQRS patterns to meet scale and reliability needs.
• Guide and coach multiple engineering teams on software design principles and best practices.
• Translate business needs into technical specifications and contribute to the strategic technical roadmap.
• Deliver features efficiently using metrics to drive success and meet high-integrity commitments.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Deep system design skills for high-scale complex distributed systems.
• Strong coding background in Python, NodeJS/NestJS/TypeScript, or Java.
• Proficiency with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with data streaming technologies like Kafka.
• Demonstrated experience in a Principal or Staff Engineer role.
• Experience working with both relational (Postgres, MySQL) and unstructured data.
• Familiarity with big data processing tools like Apache Spark.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Apache Flink for real-time data processing.
• Leadership experience leading large-scale engineering initiatives.
