Principal Software Engineer - FreeBSD, Ruby, Java, Spring

You will lead maintenance and enhancement efforts for the File Director product line, owning release stability and security.

Responsibilities

• Lead bug fixes and security vulnerability remediation to ensure product stability.
• Implement shift-left testing strategies and automated testing methodologies to improve code quality.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and provide technical guidance to team members.
• Partner with customer support and QA teams to resolve customer-reported issues.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for the product line.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of software development experience.
• Expertise in FreeBSD, Ruby, Java, and the Spring Framework.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and Angular.
• Experience with bug fixing and security vulnerability work.
• Practical knowledge of shift-left testing strategies and automated testing tools.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency in C++ development.
• Prior experience leading software maintenance projects.
