Description

You will lead the architecture, design, development, and verification of embedded and support software systems for combat vehicle technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of real-time embedded software systems.
• Mentor junior engineers in software development, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, controls, systems, testing, and cybersecurity teams.
• Manage project cost, schedule, and technical performance to meet requirements.
• Ensure all development aligns with engineering principles and quality standards.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in C, C++, Python, and UNIX scripting/BASH.
• Hands-on experience with real-time embedded software development using Linux and/or VxWorks.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink auto code wrapping.
• Expertise in multithreaded applications, including thread prioritization and synchronization.
• Familiarity with Ethernet, TCP/IP, UDP, CAN, and MIL-STD-1553 protocols.
• Experience with requirements-based development and traceability using DOORS.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related STEM field.

Preferred Skills

• Linux kernel and device driver development.
• Cybersecurity implementation, testing, and Time Sensitive Networks (TSN).
• FPGA programming, Ada, and HIL testing using NI VeriStand and TestStand.
• Experience with MagicDraw, LabView, Jenkins, GitHub, Bitbucket, Jira, Qt, or Squish.
