Description

You will lead technical strategy and execution for the connected equipment platform, owning complex full-stack solutions and mentoring engineering teams.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and deliver scalable mobile, front-end, and back-end solutions for high-availability systems.
  • Lead the refactoring of monolithic systems into microservices architectures to drive modernization.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship, fostering engineering excellence and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Partner with Product Managers to define, scope, and prioritize features aligned with strategic business goals.
  • Champion code quality, unit testing, and performance optimization to deliver efficient releases.

Required Skills

  • 12+ years of hands-on software development and application design experience.
  • 2+ years of experience leading engineering initiatives or mentoring team members.
  • Deep expertise in JavaScript and HTML/CSS, with a solid understanding of front-end fundamentals.
  • Strong proficiency in Node.js, particularly within microservices architectures.
  • Robust experience with SQL databases; familiarity with NoSQL solutions is a plus.
  • Proficiency in containerized deployments using Docker; Kubernetes experience is a plus.
  • Strong background in C#, .NET, or Python, with a willingness to transition into a JavaScript/Node.js-centric stack.
  • Experience working within Amazon Web Services (AWS), including EC2, S3, VPC, Elasticsearch, and Kinesis.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with large-scale data pipelines and distributed systems.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Proven success working independently and collaboratively in rapidly growing engineering teams.
