Description

You will provide technical leadership and mentorship while designing and delivering scalable mobile, front-end, and back-end solutions for a connected equipment platform.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Lead the refactoring of monolithic systems into scalable microservices architectures.
• Design, build, and maintain high-scale, high-availability systems with a focus on performance and reliability.
• Mentor engineers and influence system architecture, database design, and API development.
• Partner with Product Managers to define, scope, and prioritize features and technical initiatives.
• Champion unit testing, code quality, and the production of clear technical documentation.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of hands-on software development and application design experience.
• Deep expertise in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS with strong front-end fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with Node.js, preferably within microservices architectures.
• Proficiency in SQL databases and familiarity with NoSQL solutions.
• Experience with containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Solid experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including EC2, S3, VPC, Elasticsearch, and Kinesis.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with C#, .NET, or Python and a willingness to transition into a JavaScript/Node.js stack.
• Experience with large-scale data pipelines and distributed systems.
• 2+ years of experience leading engineering initiatives or mentoring teams.
