Description

Lead the design and delivery of cloud-native, Kubernetes-based systems within classified government environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of system components, ensuring reliability and security in multi-tenant deployments.
• Architect and implement event-driven or agent-based systems using Go and Python.
• Manage infrastructure automation using Terraform and Ansible to support scalable operations.
• Mentor engineering teams and drive technical leadership across distributed projects.
• Balance automation with strict operator oversight requirements in air-gapped or classified settings.

Required Skills

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (must be active prior to start).
• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with a majority in cloud-native or distributed systems.
• Deep proficiency in coding with Go and/or Python.
• Strong Kubernetes expertise, including CRDs, Helm, GitOps, and multi-tenant patterns.
• Experience with event-driven architectures using Kafka or controller patterns.
• Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools like Terraform and Ansible.

Preferred Skills

• TypeScript for frontend or internal tooling development.
• Experience with OpenShift, Rancher, or service meshes (Istio, Linkerd) in classified environments.
• Knowledge of observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry) and AWS GovCloud.
